ISSUES

I’m running for City Council because local government should make life better for the people who live here. The 6th District has shaped my family’s story, and I want to ensure every resident has access to the opportunities that helped us thrive: affordable housing, reliable transportation, safe streets, and strong mental health resources. I’m committed to listening with intention and bringing people together around solutions that move Lexington forward.
ISSUES
✅ Affordable Housing and Homelessness
The 6th District includes long‑established neighborhoods alongside newer development, renters and homeowners, seniors on fixed incomes, young families, and service workers. Rising housing costs and visible homelessness affect neighborhood stability, school continuity, and access to services across the district.

I support housing people can afford, policies that allow responsible infill, and compassionate responses to homelessness. This approach pairs housing with services so people can regain stability, not just be pushed from place to place.
✅ Transportation and Accessibility
Residents rely on Lextran, walking, and driving to reach work, healthcare, schools, and shopping. Yet, many routes are limited, sidewalks are inconsistent, and traffic congestion continues to grow as the district develops.

I support
better buses, smarter routes, and safer streets, so families, seniors, and workers can move around the district without transportation being a daily barrier to opportunity.
✅ Smart Growth and Neighborhood Protection
Growth is happening and residents care about preserving neighborhood character, protecting green spaces, and ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with development.

I support responsible, thoughtful growth that prioritizes existing neighborhoods, encourages walkable communities, and ensures development strengthens and doesn't strain the 6th District.
