Leadership That Delivers Results
For nearly 20 years, my family and I have proudly called the 6th District home. My husband and I raised our four children here, and we’ve experienced firsthand the value of the quality of life this district offers. Our children thrived in Fayette County Public Schools, three of which are located within the district, and we remain deeply invested in the well-being of our community.
In my role as Communications Director with a Kentucky nonprofit, I regularly see families struggle against the hardships of life. I see people who want a better life and that is true no matter what part of the 6th District you live in. We all have those shared aspirations to see our children raised in safe environments, to have a higher quality life than our parents before us, and to mitigate barriers that hinder equal opportunity for us all. Integrity, service, and representation are the values that ground me in my personal and professional life.

I’ve seen the power of collaboration to improve lives. This is a value I would bring to Council service. I believe that we have more in common than we have differences, and that progress often begins with a willingness to engage in honest conversation. A colleague once shared a guiding principle with me: “always assume positive intent.” While challenging at times, I’ve found this mindset to be transformative in building trust and fostering collaboration.
My family actively supports Lexington through charitable giving and volunteerism. I believe that to whom much is given, much is required, and that includes time, leadership, and resources.
The 6th District is diverse in many ways, and every constituency deserves a voice and an advocate. All of us cannot be elected officials, but those that answer the call to public service owe it to the people they represent to work on their behalf to improve their lives. We participate in representative democracy to have a voice in how our communities are governed. I would be honored to serve the residents of the 6th District and work to improve the daily quality of life and strengthen the community for everyone.
